Vacuum PVD Coating Unit for ALCRONA Coatings
This machine is especially designed for metal stamping punch and dies. ALCRONA is one of the coatings it can be made. TiCN, TiN and AlTiCN are also the most common thin films can be obtained in this PVD chamber. The coatings improve the lifetime and work performance for punching and forming tools. The coating material is AlCrN and the hardness of coatings can be reached to more than 3000RC.
PVD coating machine is a kind of equipment which uses physical vapor deposition (PVD) technology to coat aluminum nitride chromium film on the surface of workpiece.
Features
High vacuum pressure: The coating process is carried out in a high vacuum environment to ensure the purity and quality of the film.
Process control: The equipment can precisely control the parameters in the coating process, such as temperature, pressure, gas flow, etc., to obtain the required film performance.
Applications: Aluminum chromium nitride film has excellent hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance, suitable for surface treatment of a variety of tools and molds.
Operating steps of the aluminum chromium nitride PVD coating machine:
Pretreatment: clean, degrease and decontaminate the workpiece to ensure the coating quality.
Loading the workpiece: put the pretreated workpiece into the fixture of the coating chamber to ensure that the position of the workpiece is correct and stable.
Vacuum pumping: start the vacuum pump to pump out the gas in the coating chamber to reach the required vacuum degree.
Heating: the furnace body and the workpiece are heated and baked to remove residual gas and moisture.
Plasma etching: Use ion beams or high-energy particles to bombard the surface of the workpiece to remove surface impurities and oxides.
PVD Coating: a coating procedure is started to convert the aluminum nitride chromium material into gaseous atoms or ions and deposit the gaseous atoms or ions on the surface of the workpiece.
Cooling and pick-up: after the coating is finished, the workpiece is cooled and then taken out.
